App StorePrivacy
Guideline 5.1.1
Data collection must match the App Privacy label
What the rule requires
The App Privacy 'nutrition label' must accurately declare every data type the app collects. Collecting data you did not declare is a rejection (and can trigger removal).
What triggers this rejection
- a data type is collected but NOT present in the declared privacy label — this is the single most common privacy rejection
- sensitive data (health, financial, location, contacts) collected but undeclared
