Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Defanso (“we”, “us”) helps developers check their app store listing for likely rejections before submitting to the Apple App Store. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it short and plain.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile photo.
  • Audit inputs: the app metadata and privacy details you paste in (app name, description, keywords, category, and the data types you indicate your app collects).
  • Basic usage data: standard technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

To provide the audit, authenticate your account, save your audits to your account, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties we use

To run Defanso we rely on a few trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Groq — your audit inputs are sent to Groq’s AI models to generate the compliance report. Please avoid pasting sensitive personal data into the audit fields.
  • Supabase — authentication and database.
  • Vercel — hosting.
  • Google — only if you choose “Sign in with Google”.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser’s local storage for essentials only: keeping you signed in, remembering your language, and whether you’ve seen the welcome screen. No advertising trackers.

Data retention & your rights

We keep your account and audits until you ask us to delete them. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@defanso.com.

Children

Defanso is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll change the “last updated” date above. Continued use means you accept the current version.
